- Usually...Orree cannot do with talking drinking in the middle of the night.
Old Manx would have 'mean ny h-oie' here, since 'oie' is feminine. However, for over
two hundred years Manx has generally reated all nouns as masculine when dealing with
the genitive ('of the...'). We get survivals of 'ny h-oie' in set phrases like 'fud
ny h-oie'.

'My' is used on its own to mean 'before'. As in combination with 'roish', it is then
followed by the dependent form of the verb (the form used in questions). When 'my'
means 'if', it is followed by the independent form: my jig eh = before he will come;
my hig eh = if he will come.

at (on) Hoodn desperately.
