Caarjyn Cooidjagh National Tour!

The Caarjyn Cooidjagh National Tour begins at the St Johns Methodist Hall at 8 pm on Friday 4th October. Describing the National Tour a spokesman for the well known Manx Gaelic choir said "well, we're having a concert or two about the Isle of Man over the next six months or so and it would be great to see a few people at the concerts."

The first concert will be held in St Johns and Caarjyn Cooidjagh are pleased to be supported by guests John Kennaugh and Bernard Clarke. Both guests have been involved in concerts and church services with the choir in the past and all the performers are looking forward to the concert.

Admission for the concert has been reasonably priced as £3.00 and this will include a bit of supper which will follow the performances.

Manx Harvest Home

Yn Cheshaght Ghailckagh will be holding its Manx Gaelic Harvest Service in Arbory Church on Sunday 13th October at 3 pm. The Manx Gaelic Society holds services in Manx every quarter and is pleased that a good number of Manx speakers and supporters still attend theses services.

Anyone who wishes to come and experience our language being used in this traditional service will be made very welcome.

Another Time

I was going to give you a critical view of the latest Ofsted report which highlights a lack of resources dedicated to teaching Manx in schools. Unfortunately, John Dog arrived for a cup of tea and a cooish so my incoherent rantings will have to be left for another time. Probably just as well really!
