Lessoon Keead: Niart er y Jough
Lesson One Hundred: Controlling Drink
keead (KEE-ud) - hundred
niart (n'yart) - strength
jough (jawkh) - drink
Occasionally, you may see 'queig feed' ('five twenties') for 'a hundred'.
If we have 'niart' on
something, we control
it. A useful expression is:
Cha nel niart aym er (ha-NELL-N'YART-imm-err) - I can't control it,
I can't do anything about it ('There isn't strength at me on it').
