1. It was a rainy Saturday afternoon on the Isle of Man.

4. At the Chruinnaght they were about to move from the park to the

5. and the Marown fayre committee were telephoning Ronaldsway.
6. Up in heaven a team of Angels were busy filling and pouring out
their watering cans.
7. Their orders were to hide in their clouds of glory
8. and to rain on the Isle of Man.
9. They were bored with their task as well, but orders were orders.
10. and the Manx plants needed the rain to grow.
11. On the ground the vicar of Marown and two of his committee went
to
12. the church to pray for sunshine.
13. In heaven the angels heard the prayers.
14. One angel called Gabriel Crellin stopped raining
15. for he had once been on the Marown Fayre committee himself,
16. but all of his colleagues took no notice of him.
17. It was more than their jobs were worth to answer prayers.
18. The prayer answering department normally worked Monday to Friday
19. and the weekend angels were too busy to listen to non emergencies.
20. In Ramsey David Fisher was talking with some wet Welsh dancers.
